WORK IN PROGRESS UNREAL 5.2 PROJECT

Remanence is a first person souls-like. This is a Unreal 5.2 project I worked on from Fall 2023 to Spring 2024. Our team at the time consisted of 18 people, 6 of them being artists.

Role/Contributions:

I was a VFX/ Houdini artist on the team.

  • Created shaders that define the look of our game.

  • Created battle, and post process VFX (Niagara, and materials).

  • Created Houdini procedural modelling tools to assist with artpassing. (Wires, train tracks, and working on fracturing tool)

Enemy VFX

Ferrofluid was created using Niagara’s water systems.

Post Process Materials

Enemy attack indicators and parry spark VFX.

Tank slam impact

Low health. Uses handpainted overlay and normal map.

Healing.

Fully charged.
